Biography

Ty Burrell was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, and grew up in the Southern Oregon town of Applegate. He attended Hidden Valley High School where he played football for the Hidden Valley Mustangs. Ty got interested in acting when he was bartending at a Oregon Shakespeare festival where he saw some plays.
After graduating from Hidden Valley High School in Grants Pass, he enrolled at Southern Oregon University in Ashland as a theater major, where he graduated with a bachelors degree in theater arts in 1993. He continued his education at Penn State University where he earned a masters in fine art. Him and his wife adopted a baby girl which was announced on March 18, 2010. Ty and his wife currently live in Los Angeles.
